Delivering Hope
to Lewisham
Lewisham can be fairer, greener, and built to truly serve its communities. Our new manifesto sets out a clear plan to tackle inequality, invest locally, and create real change.
Be part of what comes next.
Why I’m Standing
I’m standing because I believe in a fairer Lewisham. I grew up in a single-parent family, supported by a strong community, and I always understood the need to fight injustice. After studying at Goldsmiths, I worked for an anti-racism charity before serving as a Lewisham councillor for four years.
Since I was elected, I’ve secured pedestrianisation on dangerous roads, protected small businesses from closure, secured investment for community groups, fought the far-right, demanded safer housing for residents and lobbied in support of refugees.
Labour’s complicity with the genocide in Gaza and inaction on the cost of living crisis has let us all down. That’s why I joined the Green Party: the party of social justice, real democracy, and protecting our environment.
On 7 May, you have a choice: more of the same, or a Green Mayor who puts people first.
Together, we can fix what’s broken.

- Helena Alty, Primary School Teacher
“As a retired teacher, I know the value of good local education. Whilst central government gives us little control over many of our schools I know that Liam, as Mayor, will hold them accountable not just for school results, but for giving priority to student welfare and well-being.”
- Sue Austin, Retired Teacher
“Liam would be an excellent Mayor for Lewisham. He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to serve the community, stand up for those least able to defend themselves and speak truth to power.”
- Magnus Wills, Architect and Urban Designer
“With Labour funding genocide and pursuing cruel policies against migrants, it's also vital to have someone genuinely rooted in anti-racism - practicing solidarity instead of just preaching it.
We need a friendly and proactive leader who is going to plan with justice in mind, prioritise recently forgotten values such as compassion, equity and sustainability, and actually deliver. So my vote is going for Liam, because it feels like the right thing to do”
- Esther Lie, St Christopher’s
